About the decision to create a game.

A little story about how it all started.

About a year ago, my friend and I, who at the time worked in gamedevelopment, were thinking about doing something collaborative, something of our own. That's how the idea of making a game was born in her head, and a few days later we had already chosen the genre and setting of a story. I was very far from gamedev things, but I was really fired up about this idea.

After a couple days, we decided that we wanted to create a game about the elven world. The characters were the first thing that saw the light of day. They came into my head as soon as the idea of making a game about elves was approved.

At the same time as I was writing the story, she had already written the prompts and was choosing a model for the characters (we planned to use Stable Diffusion). The visual design is very different now from what we had originally planned to do, but that's probably even for the best, to be honest.

By the end of December, I had a completed story waiting for next steps, but our plans changed. My friend was busy at work, which made her unable to create the game. Because I had absolutely no knowledge of game development at that moment, we decided to cease the project until we had enough free time. Well, that's what I thought.

For certain reasons, I realized that we were not going to make the game, so I decided to continue making it alone. I started researching everything I could possibly need along the way, and after a few months I started to create.

The way was long and hard, but I'm really satisfied with the result. My hope is that you can feel how much energy and love has been put into this game and...

That's it, welcome to the elven world.
